New York City Weekly Trip – Standard Rates

Every week one truck with three men commute between the Hamptons and New York City for multiple customers and locations. 

• $200 first item

• $30 each additional item

(An “item” is considered a load, if there are 5 boxes that fit on one dolly you will be charged for one “item”)

• Additional charges may apply for walk-ups, extra large items and some non-Manhattan locations

• $100 per stop if there are multiple stops

• $35 fee if a Certificate of Insurance is required for the building 

A standard stop is 1 - 8 items, if you have more please contact the office to make sure we can accommodate you with this system. 

Moving Services – Long Distance Haul

For a long distance move each customer requires different services and locations.  Whether packing a car and sending it to the Caribbean, relocating to Italy or sending heirloom pieces of furniture to a relative in California, Twin Forks Moving & Storage LTD will handle your request on an individual basis.  These long haul deliveries are generally priced by weight and mileage and consolidate to be cost effective.  Below is a chart to help you estimate the weight of your upcoming move. 

We will be unable to determine the exact weight of your shipment until the actual day of the move, but this will give you a good guideline to follow.

Packing Service – Standard Rates

Our team of professionals can pack your personal effects for you or we can supply the cartons needed for you to pack yourself.  If you decide to pack your own cartons please assume some liability if something breaks inside the carton.

Crating Service

Certain antiques and fragile items (i.e. glass tops, marble slabs, chandelier, art work, etc….) may require crating and will need to be packed professionally to ensure that the goods are delivered in perfect condition.  Each crate that is made will be priced per unit depending on size and materials required. 

Storage Rate

Storage is $60.00/month per container plus 8.625% NYS Sales Tax.  Each container measures 7’ W x 7’ H x 5’ D and usually holds the contents of one room of furniture.  Our warehouse team packs each crate precisely in order to optimize the available space within each container.  There is an access fee of $50.00 per container and we require 3 - 5 days notice. 

Warehouse Labor

Our warehouse staff is available to receive your shipment, accounting for all items and checking the condition upon arrival to our facility.  There is a charge of $25 per day for this standard service.  If a large inventory delivery is expected the rate is $35/hour per man plus garbage removal. 

Designer/Decorator Receiving

Twin Forks Moving & Storage LTD will gladly receive items at our storage facility for designers. Upon arrival we will inventory and check the condition of each item that is received, and will notify the designer if there are any damages.  Then we will either place the items into a storage container awaiting a future delivery date, or at the designers’ request, temporarily hold the items on the warehouse floor for a pre-determined delivery date. There is a fee, per item, on every item we receive depending on how each item is packed and the amount of time it takes to inspect, repack, and put it into storage until delivery.
